Training is vital to the success and the adoption of sustainability practices within your organisation. Too often we see the responsibility resting with one individual who has limited authority and involvement in the actual activities that are generating the impacts. This, coupled with a lack of staff understanding of legal compliance, makes it impossible for any organisation to realise all the benefits and there is a risk that you could end up in a crisis management situation. To avoid this, and to ensure the appropriate understanding of sustainability at all levels of the organisation, we have developed a range of training courses, and also develop bespoke courses to meet specific needs. Many companies utilise our courses as part of their CPD programme for employees. All courses have a certificate of attendance or attainment when subject to examination.
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Training Courses
Embedding environmental management into a business will deliver true commercial benefits. EcoEvents offers CIEH-registered training courses for people in businesses with responsibility for environment, facilities management, finance, publicity and H&S.
- CIEH Level 2 Award – Environmental Principles & Best Practice– A one-day course giving an introduction to environmental issues, EMS, improvement activities and cost savings.
- CIEH Environmental Management Certificate – A more in-depth five-day course, where participants will gain an understanding of environmental issues, seeing the benefits and relevance to their company. Participants will begin to plan for an Environmental Management System and identify activities that give environmental improvements and cost savings.
Participants will be assessed for CIEH recognised qualifications. These courses are to carried out at your location and at your convenience.
