Guide Live out of London Event

on Sep 23, 2011 in News

Two day event packed with info on leading events industry issues delivered by people who know their stuff.

The main thing that I got from this was an understanding of how very good we are as an industry in engaging with user experience so that behaviours are mobilised and brands are activated. However it also struck me that it would benefit us as an industry to know more about why we are so good at this at a strategic and theoretical level.  Economic, social and environmental measurements (i.e. triple bottom line) is a framework within which we can start to measure and monitor. LOCOG is requesting specific sustainability deliverables from all their contractors….the hand does have to fit the glove of course (more about that later) but if we use this opportunity wisely the biggest positive legacy could very well be for our industry.

Email me if you want a copy of my presentation slides which looks at LOCOG requirements in more detail.
